Visit & Wine Tasting in 3 Wineries of the Medoc

Today, you will visit two or three wineries in the local area, which are carefully selected Classified Growth Chateau or Cru Bourgeois estates. This gives you a chance to gain an excellent understanding of the wines produced here, whether as an introduction to wines or to expand on your existing knowledge.

Your full day medoc shore excursion from Le Verdon tour starts off with a pick up at your ship. The you will participate in your first stop for a visit and wine tasting at a chateau. This will be followed by a scenic drive along the mythical ‘Route des Chateaux’ or castle road, which is a road lined with several renowned wineries. After this, you’ll have some free time for lunch in Pauillac. 

In the afternoon, you’ll partake in 1 or 2 more chateau visits and tastings. Once you’ve been guided around Medoc wine region you’ll gain expert knowledge of this world-renowned wine making region. This tour is perfect for those whose Cruise Ship makes a first stop in Le Verdon before moving on to Bordeaux City or Bassens Cruise Ports. If your Cruise Ship docks in Le Verdon without moving, then you can participate in one of our full day tours that depart and return to Le Verdon Port of Call.
