In the morning, we will come and pick you up at your Hotel or Accommodation in Bordeaux. Meet your English speaking driver / guide who is an expert on Bordeaux Wines. Once you have met your guide, he/she will go over the program and itinerary of the day with you. Then, board your comfortable, air conditioned vehicle and begin to make your way to the Saint Emilion wine producing region.
Travel in a Premium Vehicle
Your private Bordeaux Day Trip to Saint Emilion will take place in one of our very spacious Mercedes Minivans. This vehicle can take up to 7 persons. All our vehicles are equipped with an on board P/A system that allows you to hear the commentary of your driver/guide no matter where you are seated. Also, there is free Wi-Fi access in all vehicles. Bottled water is also available in all our vehicles.
Visit and wine tasting in a Grand Cru Château Winery of St Emilion
After a short drive, arrive at the winery where you will participate in a visit & wine tasting session in a winery located in the village of Saint Emilion. First, visit this Grand Cru Winery of the Saint Emilion wine region. Then, guided by a knowledgeable hand, experience a commented tasting of the wines of the estate.
Delicious lunch in the Château Winery of Saint Emilion
After the visit and wine tasting session, it will be time for lunch in the Château. , we will take you to a Château winery for lunch. Here, you will have two possibilities either a picnic lunch made of a selection of fresh and local products (jam, salad, roasted meat, cheese, fruits, bread and mini-pâtisserie or a Cheese & Charcuterie platter composed of paté and foie gras along with a selection of aged French cheeses. Take some time as you sip on the Château wine (1 glass of wine included). Water, tea or coffee are also included with your meal.
Visit the village of Saint Emilion with your guide
After your picnic lunch at the Château, it will be time to continue your day and arrive at our final visit. Visit the village of Saint Emilion with your guide. Stroll through the quaint, cobbled streets of this medieval town, while your tour guide recounts local history, from the days of the 8th century hermit Emilion, to the 19th century mining galleries, which still lie beneath the village.
Important historical sites include the Romanesque cloister and the Monolithic church carved into the limestone cliffs, also known as the underground monuments. Since this is a private tour and our guides have a privileged access to this monument, we can organise a private visit of this attraction (tickets not included).
After the visit of the village and some free time for personal discovery, return to Bordeaux.
